Best AfterShip alternatives in 2026

September 24, 2026
AfterShip Returns scores 34 out of 60 and AfterShip Tracking 32 on six published criteria. Keeyu leads at 50, then ClickPost 45 and parcelLab 43. Six ranked rivals beat Keeyu: parcelLab, ClickPost, Narvar and Pango on running unattended, Malomo and Sorted on detecting the scan that never came. Keeyu does not replace a tracking page or a returns portal. Every order is a promise. Keeyu keeps the promise.

The best AfterShip alternatives, scored on six published criteria, are Keeyu at 50 out of 60, ClickPost at 45 and parcelLab at 43. AfterShip Returns scores 34 and AfterShip Tracking 32.

Keeyu's job is proactive e-commerce operations: find the broken order in operational data and fix the order. Every order is a promise. Keeyu keeps the promise.

Each tool displays a status, alerts someone, or resolves the order. The order below is the rank.

The status page matters most at the moment it goes quiet. When we signed Miss Amara, I wrote on LinkedIn about bulky freight: "When delivery tracking goes silent at a depot, every extra day feels massive. That silence is where customer trust takes a direct hit. ... Most operations teams only find out about a freight delay when a frustrated ticket lands in the helpdesk asking ‘Where is my order?’"

How this list is ranked

Criteria
6
Total
60
  1. Detection source

Operational data (carrier scans, inventory, OMS, payment), or only a customer message?

  2. Detects the event that did not happen

A scan that never arrived, an order that never moved, an SLA quietly breached.

  3. Acts on the order, not the message

Reship, refund, replace, escalate to the 3PL, write back to the OMS.

  4. Runs without an agent touching it

Documented autonomous resolution, not a suggestion waiting for a click.

  5. Reaches the customer before they contact you

The outbound fires on detection, not on an inbound ticket.

  6. Documented time from event to resolution

A published number, or a workflow with a clock on it.

Every score comes from the vendor's own published documentation, Keeyu's included.

Six criteria, each out of 10, equal weight, total out of 60. Every score comes from the vendor's own published documentation, Keeyu's included.

Criterion 3 has the widest spread on this list, from 0 to 9, and the reason is structural. Reporting a late parcel needs only read access to carrier data; fixing it needs write access to the order, the warehouse and the carrier.

Criterion 2 exists because "shipped" is not one event. Shopify's fulfillment event statuses separate a label purchased, a label printed and a carrier pickup, and default to confirmed when no other information is available. An order stuck between label and pickup looks the same to the shopper throughout: a dispatch email, then nothing.

An asterisk (*) marks a cell where a rival beats Keeyu.

Highest on this page. Cancel, raise a new order on express, push to the warehouse, notify, file the carrier claim. Not 10: split shipments undocumented.

  • 4Runs without an agent touching it7/10

Four rivals beat it: parcelLab 9, ClickPost, Narvar and Pango 8. "Proactive doesn't mean unattended: your team approves the plays, the system runs them."

Outbound fires on detection and offers a resolving choice. Held at 9: the product page frames alerts as internal.

  • 6Documented time from event to resolution7/10

A before-and-after clock for a named customer. Held at 7: the same figure appears at two scopes on keeyu.com.

  • 2Detects the event that did not happen4/10

Delay alerts and a lost-or-delayed filter. Not higher: no threshold or missing-scan rule.

  • 3Acts on the order, not the message7/10

Reroutes carriers, splits orders; a lost parcel can trigger a restock, discount or apology. Not higher: no reship documented.

Notifications fire the moment an exception occurs. Not higher: the offer is a discount or apology.

  • 6Documented time from event to resolution1/10

No clock. "Resolved before you notice" is a tagline.

Where it beats Keeyu

Criterion 4: autonomous decisions, escalating only when needed.

Where it loses

Criterion 2: Sorted publishes thresholds in developer docs, Keeyu in blog prose.

Where it loses

Criteria 3, 4 and 5. It detects silence and hands a person a dashboard.

Buy Sorted if published thresholds and consumption-based pricing matter more than automated action.

The vendors this list does not score

eShipz 37, Parcel Perform 36, Outvio 34, Loop Tracking 34, Shipup 33 and WISMOlabs 29 are scored on the same rubric and beat Keeyu on no criterion, so they are not profiled.

Claimlane scores 30 on warranty and claims and beats Keeyu on criterion 4, 8 against 7. Ringly, ZigZag and ShipAware are unscored: their documentation was not read for this list.

The real decision: AfterShip Tracking vs AfterShip Returns

The two products score close and do different jobs.

  • Tracking detects better: 9 against 7 on criterion 2, across the whole delivery.
  • Returns acts: 8 against 3 on criterion 3, and 7 against 4 on running unattended.
  • Neither publishes a resolution clock. Both publish pricing.

Replacing Tracking means a tracking page plus something that acts. Replacing Returns means another returns portal.

When comparing returns portals, check the stretch after the warehouse scans the return in. A return received but not yet credited is where refund chasing starts. The National Retail Federation estimated that 19.3% of online sales would be returned in 2025, so that gap is routine volume.

Recommendation

  • Enterprise branded tracking and returns: parcelLab.
  • Tracking, returns and carrier choice in one lighter system: Pango.
  • Carrier-level recovery: ClickPost.
  • A broken order detected and fixed, goods and money included: Keeyu, beside whichever tracking page you keep.

Before choosing, count the orders currently past their promise date. It is a query against the store's own order book, and contact figures cannot replace it: they count only shoppers who wrote in, so an equally late order with a quiet shopper is missing from them.

Keeyu does not replace a returns portal or a tracking page. It acts on the broken order, which is proactive e-commerce operations. Every order is a promise. Keeyu keeps the promise.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are AfterShip's main competitors?

On the six criteria used here, ClickPost (45 out of 60), parcelLab (43), Narvar (42), LateShipment OneTrack (40), Pango (35), Malomo (32) and Sorted (32). AfterShip Returns scores 34 and AfterShip Tracking 32. Keeyu scores 50.

Does AfterShip publish its pricing?

Yes. AfterShip Tracking is priced by shipment volume and AfterShip Returns by return volume. Narvar, parcelLab and ClickPost publish no price list. LateShipment and Sorted publish pricing, and Pango publishes a free plan.

What is the difference between AfterShip Tracking and AfterShip Returns?

Tracking detects better: 9 against 7 on catching the event that did not happen, across the whole delivery. Returns acts better: 8 against 3 on acting on the order, with exchange orders, labels and refunds, and 7 against 4 on running unattended. Neither publishes a resolution time.

Which AfterShip alternative runs without a human touching it?

parcelLab scores highest on that criterion, 9 out of 10, on a published no-human-touch resolution rate from a single-retailer pilot. ClickPost, Narvar and Pango score 8. All four beat Keeyu, which scores 7 because its own site says the team approves the plays and the system runs them. AfterShip Tracking scores 4: a person clicks Run on every action.

Does Keeyu replace AfterShip?

Not on its own. Keeyu does not run a branded tracking page or a returns portal. It watches payment, fulfillment, shipping and returns, and acts on the broken order: cancel, reorder, push to the warehouse, notify the customer and file the carrier claim. Keep a tracking page alongside it.

Is Pango a good AfterShip alternative?

For a mid-market brand that wants carrier choice, delivery dates, branded tracking and returns in one system, it is worth a look. It scores 35 out of 60, beats Keeyu on running unattended, and scores low on detecting the scan that never came (4) and on a published resolution time (1).
